Naples has another chef reaching celebrity status on The Food Network.
At least so far.
Lerome Campbell, pastry chef at The Ritz-Carlton beach resort in North Naples, has made it past week four of “Holiday Baking Championship” on The Food Network. He was one of nine contestants when the series premiered at the beginning of November, and there are now five bakers remaining.
Nobody, not even Campbell’s two young daughters, knows how far he made it on the show.
“I keep getting questions from everyone, text messages,” he said. “My mom is freaking out, (asking) ‘Are you going to go home?'”
